Selari Academy
RomanceA small magical academy on a quiet lake — four houses, one senior year, and a heart that has not yet decided whom it belongs to. Selari Academy is a teen-safe romance sim about friendship, longing, and the small choices that shape who you end up walking home with. Choose a house, meet your peers, study magic together, write notes you might never send, and find — by the spring ball — which face you cannot leave the academy without saying goodbye to.
Where things stand
Selari Academy is played by real people and keeps moving between their sessions. This is the state of it as of the last update — not a fixed setting, and not where it began.
The academy buzzes with fresh gossip thanks to Lin Marsh, after Emma Rossi prompted Theo Marwick to reveal a poetic side, leading Rurik and Roderic to new understanding. At the Observatory, Cassian Vell and Selka find solace and clarity under the 'Whispering Bloom's' calming influence, processing recent turmoil, while Selka and Cyrus share a profound moment witnessed by Saoirse and inspiring Talia. Meanwhile, the Bloomwarden Greenhouse, now filled with the scent of damp earth and starlight mint as Linnea steps inside, remains a nexus of artistic serenity where Thalia, Daiki, and Ophira's collaborative creation has reached a breathtaking peak. Aster discovers luminous moonpetals within the grotto, deepening her sense of wonder. A shared whisper passes between Nia and Selka, while Professor Vane's gentle approval further solidifies the serene connections blooming at the Observatory. Liam and Amara's tender connection deepens under Elara's approving gaze in the Starlight Courtyard. Liam and Amara share a tender, quiet moment in the Starlight Courtyard, their bond deepening under Elara's content gaze. A shared whisper between Liam and Amara solidifies their bond in the Starlight Courtyard, observed with warm approval by Elara. A shared glance between Nia and Professor Vane deepens the serene atmosphere at the Observatory.
Places
- Main Quadplaza
- The heart of Selari Academy — a square of pale flagstone bounded on four sides by the four house wings. A old willow stands at the center, its trunk worn smooth by decades of students leaning against it between classes. The four house doors all face the willow: Stargazer Spire to the north, Bloomwarden Greenhouse to the east, Inkbound Archive to the west, Heartforge Pavilion to the south. Above, the eight classrooms share a single corridor, reached by a spiral stair set into the willow's shadow. In autumn the quad is full of leaves, in spring full of cherry petals from the trees along the lake path.
- Bloomwarden Greenhousedormitory
- The east wing — half greenhouse, half dormitory, all warmth. The glass-roofed central hall holds rows of growing tables and a small medicinal garden the senior healers have tended for a century. The dorms are tucked into the upper level, balconies trailing ivy down into the greenhouse below. The air smells of damp earth, mint, and whatever tea Aila Renne is brewing in the corner kettle today.
- Inkbound Archivedormitory
- The west wing — a working library that doubles as the Inkbound dormitory. Three floors of stacks, hand-bound volumes on every subject the academy teaches and many it doesn't. The dorm rooms open off the upper galleries; students study where they sleep and sleep where they study. The reading room on the ground floor has the academy's only fireplace large enough to read by all night. Pia Solen, the senior prefect, can usually be found at the long table by the window when she isn't running the quad.
- Heartforge Paviliondormitory
- The south wing — an open-sided practice pavilion with a small forge at one end and four sparring circles drawn in chalk on the wooden floor. The dorm rooms above are reached by an outdoor staircase; students often haul their breakfasts up the stairs in cloth napkins. The pavilion smells of charcoal, sweat, and the faintly sweet polish the senior students use on their practice blades. Theo Marwick is almost always somewhere in here, either teaching the younger students footwork or working through a sequence alone.
- Stargazer Spiredormitory
- The north wing of the academy — a tall narrow tower of pale stone, three stories of dormitory rooms with a small observatory deck at the top. The ground-floor common room has a circular fire pit, soft cushions on the floor, and a hand-painted star-chart that covers the entire ceiling. The Stargazers are quieter than the other houses, and the spire smells faintly of paper and beeswax candles. Cassian Vell can usually be found on the observatory deck after sunset, alone with his charts.
- Lake Promenadepath
- The cobbled walking path that runs along the eastern shore of Lake Selari. The academy rises on the hill to the west; on the lake side a low stone wall keeps walkers from tumbling into the slate-colored water. Three carved benches sit along the path at regular intervals — one near a pair of cherry trees that bloom in spring, one beside an old standing stone whose markings the Inkbounders pretend to read, one at the very far end where the path bends out of sight of the academy. The promenade is where students walk when they want to talk somewhere no one will overhear. It is also where the spring ball ends — everyone spills out of the great hall and walks the lake at midnight.
- The Whispering Groveforest
- The faint, newly revealed path now leads directly to an ancient, moss-covered stone door, half-hidden by vines but clearly man-made, pulsating with a gentle, inviting energy.
